Thank you for your support and patience while we reviewed the guidance following this weekend’s announcements – it’s been a very challenging year and every ticket or purchase at Edinburgh Zoo helps to feed our animals and care for endangered species in Scotland and around the world.
At this time, Scottish Government guidance for Covid Protection Level 4 means we can remain open, although all indoor spaces, including indoor animal areas and our gift shop, must close from 26 December. Takeaway only catering and ‘Click & Collect’ options from our online shop will be available.
This means we can continue to provide a safe, outdoor environment for City of Edinburgh residents with a wide range of safety measures in place to protect our visitors, staff and animals.
We are also continuing to ask all our visitors to check and follow all government guidance. You must not travel from outside the local authority area to visit our parks while they are in levels 3 or 4.
If you are unable to visit on your booked date due to coronavirus restrictions:
We would like to offer you zoo credit in the form of vouchers which would be valid for 12 months until the end of 2021 and can be used for daytime tickets, in our shops and cafes, or for future events at the zoo.
Please email your booking details to email@example.com to request your gift vouchers.
We will process these as quickly as possible. Due to the volume of requests we are receiving at the moment, this may take up to 14 days to process at this time – thank you so much for bearing with us.
