  • Saving Wildcats project prepare for third breeding season ahead of Valentine’s Day

    16 wildcats have been paired up for the third consecutive breeding season in the Saving Wildcats conservation breeding for release centre, off-show at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Highland Wildlife Park.

    The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Highland Wildlife Park has joined the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

  • Escaped Macaque

    One of our Japanese macaques escaped from its enclosure on Sunday 28 January. The macaque was caught and returned to Highland Wildlife Park on Thursday 1 February.

Winter has arrived!

There are extensive construction works taking place from the admissions gate through to the area opposite the visitor centre (shop/café) due to the creation of Scotland’s Wildlife Discovery Centre. Please note, Victoria and Brodie are currently off-show while work is undertaken at their enclosure.
