Nature Photography Workshops Ts&Cs

These terms and conditions apply to all Nature Photography Workshops delivered at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Edinburgh Zoo. 

• Participants must be over the age of 16 to participate
• Participants must be able to walk/move around reasonable distances, including up slopes and carry their kit with them. Please get in touch with any health concerns in advance of booking your place on the workshop
• Every effort will be made to accommodate participants with additional support or mobility needs. Please inform us of any additional requirements in advance of booking a place on the workshop. Carers may accompany the participant to the workshop for free
• Participants must ensure they bring along their own camera and equipment on the day as Edinburgh Zoo is unable to provide any kit
• Zoo entry terms and conditions apply
• The photography workshops are non-refundable and non-transferrable unless due to exceptional circumstances (illness/injury, pregnancy or bereavement). This will be at Edinburgh Zoo's discretion and proof must be provided
• Edinburgh Zoo reserves the right to reschedule any of the booked workshop dates. Edinburgh Zoo will give as much notice as possible; however this cannot always be guaranteed. If Edinburgh Zoo cancels your workshop and no other dates are suitable, a full refund will be issued to the purchaser
• Edinburgh Zoo reserves the right to alter the experience on any given day due to animal welfare or health issues or a change in the zoo's collection, but Edinburgh Zoo will ensure that if this is the case then the photographic opportunity will be replaced with another equivalent opportunity
• The weather should not affect the experience, although the itinerary may be changed if conditions are unsuitable for any aspect of the workshop. In the case of severe weather the workshop may be rescheduled for another date. Edinburgh Zoo will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible but please be aware that cancellations may occur on the day of the experience for reasons beyond Edinburgh Zoo's control. If we are unable to rearrange the date with the participant, a full refund will be issued to the purchaser
• Guests of the participant are not permitted to follow the group around the zoo
• Edinburgh Zoo entry is included in the workshop price
• Edinburgh Zoo will not be responsible for any equipment of any participant. It is the participant’s responsibility to keep their kit safe, secure and protected from the weather
• Participants should only photograph animals and avoid capturing members of the public. If participants wish to photograph participants in the workshop they should seek the personal consent of the participant being photographed, this arrangement will be between the individuals and not the responsibility of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland
• In order for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland to deliver and provide the contract we have with you (being the contract for sale of products or services), we need to collect and process certain data about you – for example, your name, address, bank account details (to enable payment) and, in some cases, health data to ensure that we can ensure your comfort and safety during the event you have contracted from us. We will only ever process this data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, and the GDPR.
