A colony of penguins, a lion and a 158kg gorilla are among the animals recreated in colourful blocks as part of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Bricktastic Beasts trail at Edinburgh Zoo this summer.

From 27 June to 30 August, the wildlife conservation charity’s visitors will come face-to-face with impressive life-sized animal sculptures made from more than 558,000 bricks which form an interactive trail around the zoo.

The sculptures can be enjoyed for free with regular zoo admission, or a trail map can be followed to find them for £2.
