The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has announced the birth of a rare baby L’Hoest’s monkey at Edinburgh Zoo. The wildlife conservation charity welcomed the newborn on Friday 26 September to mum Sheli and dad Jamal.
Babies are born with orange fur, which darkens to black at around three months old. The youngster will be named in the coming weeks, once the sex has been determined.
Visitors hoping to see the baby alongside the rest of the troop can save money on tickets when they book online.
