11am – Przewalski's horse

Discover the last wild horses! Did you know – przewalski were once extinct in the wild but numbers have bounced back and now they can even be found living in Chernobyl.

Watch out for… their big, thick manes and luscious tails - these would help our horses keep warm in the wild as they huddle together to avoid the freezing winds of the Gobi desert!

11:30am – Warty Pig

Come and discover our warty pigs, one of the rarest mammals in the zoo. They are often overshadowed by their African cousins, but they are a different species. And learn why they have one of the best hairdos in the zoo!

Watch our warty pigs as they forage and root around in their enclosure for any tasty food they might find.

Watch out for… our sloths hanging in the trees even while they’re snoozing – special tendons in a sloth’s hands and feet lock to allow them to sleep without any effort at all!

4pm – Red panda

Discover the original and totally unique panda! Did you know - red pandas can climb vertically down a tree thanks to their specially evolved ankles and wrists.

Watch out for... their beautiful red fur and distinctive faces which help them camouflage into wild bamboo forests!
