The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) are hosting a unique opportunity to visit Edinburgh Zoo after hours for a discounted price with ‘Sundown Saturdays’.

Visitors will enjoy an evening wander through the zoo and see how animals spend their time before sundown with extended opening hours until 9pm.

Lindsay Ross, Events and Experiences Manager at RZSS said: “We are delighted to invite visitors to enjoy a special night out in Edinburgh and an exciting opportunity to experience the zoo during a summer evening. Lots of our animals are more active at these times and guests will be able to discover what they get up to after hours.

“We want to inspire as many people as possible to protect, value and love wildlife. With longer opening hours and a discounted entry price more people can come along to see some amazing animals and connect with nature.”

Sundown Saturdays will take place on 8,15 and 22 July. Entry will be discounted to just £10 for children and £15 for adults.

Food and drink will be available throughout the evening and the gift shop will also remain open for extended hours.

Tickets are subject to availability. Those visiting during the day are welcome to stay into the night and members go free.
