Another Promotion for Nils? We’re Not Having Olav!
Nils Olav, Edinburgh Zoo’s famous king penguin, will be visited by the Norwegian King’s Guard on Friday 15 August. There have been rumours of yet another promotion but it is not known what honour will be bestowed on this very special penguin.
Human Nature
Edinburgh Zoo is playing host to a rather unusual group of new arrivals. A group of dancers will be performing in one the Zoo’s enclosures as part of the Dance Base Fringe programme. ‘Enclosure 44 – Humans’, is already one of the most talked about shows in The Fringe.
Panda Plans
We are currently working with officials in China to bring a pair of giant pandas to Scotland.
