Summer CAT (Conservation Action Team)

We are delighted to announce that Summer CAT will be running again in July 2017 for children entering P4, P5, P6 or P7 in August 2017. 

Summer CAT is based out of Edinburgh Zoo’s Wildlife Garden Yurt where children take part in a range of activities including planting, building, animal surveying, games, trails, campfires and much more!

The programme runs form 9.00am – 3.30pm, with free early drop-off available from 8.30am.

After school club, which runs from 3.30pm – 5.30pm, can also be purchased when booking.

How much does it cost?

Parents may book their children onto the Spring and/or Summer School at a cost of £170 for the week.

If choosing after school club with your booking, Spring and/or Summer School will cost £200 for the week


Summer CAT attendees may have the opportunity to achieve a John Muir Award, an environmental award scheme focused on wild places, encouraging people to connect with, enjoy and care for our natural environment.

RZSS Edinburgh Zoo is a validated Children’s University Scotland learning destination and Summer CAT is a validated learning activity for which CU                                      members can gain credits in their Passports to Learning.
