Can you help feed our animals in June?

A message from Lorna our penguin keeper:

“Our 24 rockhopper penguins are easy to spot among the rest of our penguin colony. Look for their spectacular yellow feathers and bright red eyes. They don’t waddle like our other penguins. Instead, they hop from rock to rock.

Lots of people are tuning in to watch our amazing animals on our cameras – and you can help them by giving a donation.

It costs thousands of pounds to feed our animals every month but the zoo is closed, so this is a very challenging time with no visitor income.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated in April and May - it was hugely appreciated. If you can, please give a donation in June to feed our animals. Our penguins do love their fish – if they could thank you, they would!"

Rocking out with Rockhoppers!

You've watched the webcam, now you can find out all about our conservation work with Northern rockhopper penguins in the wild. These grumpy little penguins have been a big hit with you all, but we also do a lot to support this species out in its native range on tiny islands in the Atlantic Ocean.   Why not catch up on all episodes of #RZSSGoneWild and find out about the wider work of RZSS?

"We are going to do a sponsored animal quiz for Royal Zoological Society of Scotland because they do great conservation work here and abroad" - Clare, RZSS Donor, May 2020

Support Edinburgh Zoo's Survival Fund

I want to help

Can you support our survival fund?

The animals at Edinburgh Zoo are loved by so many people. But their survival here and in the wild now depends on the survival of your zoo.

Donations from thousands of people like you have kept our animals well fed and safe while we were closed and had no visitor income. We were grateful for every gift during those challenging times.

But without any government support to help us recover from Covid-19, the future of your zoo is at risk.

Every month, we need thousands of pounds just to feed and care for the animals you love.

We have no one else to turn to. If you can, please help your zoo survive long into the future by giving a donation today.
