Please help to bring giraffes to Scotland’s capital!

In the wild giraffes face threats of habitat loss and illegal poaching. Their population has fallen by more than 30% since the 1980s.

You can build a sanctuary for these majestic animals in the heart of Edinburgh and help save them in the wild.

Donate today to Edinburgh Zoo’s Crowdfunder and you will support the creation of a unique landscape suitable for giraffes at the top of Corstorphine Hill. The giraffe house will provide shelter and care from a dedicated team of keepers and vets. It will also feature carefully designed walkways which will bring you face to face with our new herd.

By donating you will be supporting the future of Edinburgh Zoo, directly contributing to the very foundations of the new enclosure. With a whole host of rewards to choose from (including postcards, giraffe experiences and invitations to the enclosure opening), will you stick your neck out for giraffes?

Your support will also help to save giraffes in the wild. As part of Edinburgh Zoo’s campaign, we will work with conservation partners in Africa to protect the wild population and safeguard them from extinction.
