Forth 1’s Boogie, Arlene and Marty meet Giraffe About Town’s Skinny Malinky Long Legs

Forth 1’s Boogie, Arlene and Marty met their Giraffe About Town sculpture Skinny Malinky Long Legs earlier this week.  

As official radio partners, Forth 1 are supporting Edinburgh Zoo’s Giraffe About Town trail which has seen over 40 giraffe sculptures take over the streets of Edinburgh to raise money for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.  

Skinny Malinky Long Legs was named by Forth 1 listeners after a campaign to find the best name was launched on the Boogie in the Morning breakfast show. The winning entry was submitted by Faye Sherlock from Livingston and then designed by artist WhimSicAL LusH. 

The sculpture features Edinburgh Zoo’s oldest residents, the Chilean flamingos, some of who are turning 62 this year.
