Lucky donors could win their very own eight-foot-tall giraffe sculpture, which is currently part of Edinburgh Zoo’s free Giraffe About Town art trail installed across Scotland’s capital.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is raising funds to continue their vital conservation work in Scotland and around the world by asking the public to donate as little as £5 to their new Crowdfunder campaign. All donors will be in with the chance of winning Bamboozled, the beautiful panda themed giraffe sculpture designed by artist Jina Gelder, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime experience meeting Edinburgh Zoo’s giant pandas and giraffe herd.
Ben Supple, director of engagement and business development at RZSS said, “It is so exciting to see our giraffe sculptures out in the wild and we are delighted to be offering this outstanding prize to one lucky donor.
“As well as raising funds for our wildlife conservation charity, someone will win the stunning Bamboozled sculpture and the chance to feed Yang Guang the giant panda and our bachelor giraffe herd, Ronnie, Arrow, Gerald, Fennesy and Gilbert.”
The winner will also enjoy a night at the tranquil Eden Locke aparthotel and a voucher at the fabulous Bonnie & Wild in St. James Quarter.

Ben added, “With the challenges we have all been facing, we hope Giraffe About Town will help local people and tourists fall in love with Edinburgh all over again by encouraging them to explore iconic locations and hidden gems across the city.”
Alongside the main ‘tall trail’, a ‘wee herd’ of 29 four-foot-tall giraffes are on display in city centre locations, libraries and other community spaces, sponsored by Essential Edinburgh and CityFibre. Maps for the trail can be found on the Giraffe About Town website and app, at Lothian Buses travel shops, Visit Scotland information kiosks and at Edinburgh Zoo.
