Lion cubs enjoy winter sunshine at Edinburgh Zoo

Three five-month-old Asiatic lion cubs have been spotted enjoying some winter sunshine with mum Roberta at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s Edinburgh Zoo.

Following a public poll in November last year, the wildlife conservation charity named the youngsters Mitaali, Keshari and Kushanu in tribute to the Gir forest in western India where the endangered species is found.

The family are starting to spend more time outside as the cubs continue to grow and become more confident.
