Junior Nature Photography Workshop

Please note that this Workshop is for participants aged 11 – 15 years.  

Do you have a camera and can take a good basic shot, but are unsure of how to get the most out of all the settings and functions? Are you keen to find out a bit more about the basics of photographing animals and nature?

In this workshop, renowned professional photographer and former Edinburgh Zoo keeper, Laurie Campbell, will take you through the fundamentals of nature photography and help you to get more out of your camera. The equipment you need to bring is entirely your own choice and all levels can take part.

The workshops consist of tutorials as well as a tour of Edinburgh Zoo, taking in a number of different settings and animals – big and small, furry and feathery. Laurie will be with you for the entire day, giving personal attention to each participant as well as sharing many tricks of the trade. We are unable to guarantee any specific animals on the day.

We plan to go ahead with the workshops even if it's raining so please bring appropriate clothing and protection for your equipment. Participants must be accompanied by a spectating guardian or adult (maximum one per child). Both the participant and accompanying adult's entry is included within the workshop voucher. After the workshop you are then able to go and explore the rest of the zoo for the afternoon.
