How many people will be on the workshop?
A maximum of 14 people will be on the workshop with you.
Can I visit the Zoo before the workshop starts?
Daytime Zoo entry is included in the cost of the workshop.
Can I bring someone along with me for support?
Yes, you can bring one person along with you, however they must over 16 years old or over. They will be allowed to sit at the back of the room for the theory sessions and be with you for the practical meet the spider session. They will not be permitted into the hypnotherapy session. Guests of participants will need to pay for entry if they are arriving before 1.45pm , they can do this at the Information Desk when you arrive at the Zoo for your day.
Can I cancel or reschedule my workshop?
The phobia workshops are non-refundable and non-transferrable unless due to exceptional circumstances (illness/injury, pregnancy or bereavement). This will be at Edinburgh Zoo's discretion and proof must be provided.
I’m a member, do I get a discount?
Yes, RZSS members get a 10% discount. Please select the member's ticket option and bring your membership card with you on the day of your workshop.
How long does the workshop last?
The workshop begins at 2pm and last until around 6pm.
Are there any restrictions on who can do this workshop?
Unfortunately we are unable to cater for people with certain medical conditions, such as, schizophrenia and epilepsy. We’re sorry for any disappointment this causes and recommend speaking to your doctor about how best to proceed with tackling your phobia. If you are unsure if your medical condition restricts you from doing this course please contact our support team on email@example.com or 0131 3140327.
Are there any age restrictions?
Participants should be 16 years old and over.
Do I need to bring anything on the day?
It is optional, but a cushion for the group hypnotherapy session will help you to relax.
What's included in the price of the workshop?
The price includes a four hour session with a professional hypnotherapist and our expert keepers. You will receive refreshments (tea, coffee, juice) on arrival and during the break and daytime entry to the Zoo.
Participants also receive free car parking and a 10% discount in our Gift Shop (not eligible on books or Fairtrade Stand products).Please note that car parking spaces are limited, especially during busier times of the year.
