New Front Entrance!

June will see the completion of the new front entrance for the Zoo. We hope to have this open to the public around the middle of the month, with the Grand opening on the 25th of June (see below). You asked for improvements - and we’ve done it! A stunning 4.5m high curved wall featuring some of our signature animals - penguins, koalas, tigers, sun bears and our soon to arrive pandas now greets you on arrival.

We think you are going to like the difference!

Mesopotamian fallow deer

We are pleased to welcome a herd of Mesopotamian fallow deer from Stuttgart Zoo. They are nearly extinct in the wild, inhabiting only a small area in southern Iran and two small proected ares in northern Iran.

They can be found in the field to the Northwest of the Zoo, just above the Ravens.
