By Public Transport
By Bus
Edinburgh Zoo, located on Corstorphine Road, is highly accessible by public transport with high frequency bus services from Edinburgh city centre.
Almost every local bus passing the Zoo is low-floor, providing easy access for all users. Day tickets allow unlimited travel on Lothian Buses' network and cost £3.00 for adults and £2.40 for children aged 5-15 (children under 5 travel for free). With bus stops located directly outside the Zoo, it makes it easily accessible by the following buses:

31 - Polton - Princes Street - East Craigs

48/X48 Ingliston Park & Ride
Services 12, 26 and 31 can be found to depart from stops 'U' and 'R' at George St.
Services 48/X48 can be found to depart from stops 'S' and 'P' at George St.
Lothian Buses Park & Ride
Conserving the environment is of extreme importance to the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. Why not do your bit for the environment as well as save yourself time and money by leaving your car at one of the Park & Ride Services offered by Lothian Buses?
Please note that the Ingliston Park & Ride X48 service stops directly outside the Zoo!

By Train
There are two trains stations in the centre of Edinburgh; Edinburgh Waverley Station and Edinburgh Haymarket Station. Train timetables and ticket information are available from the First ScotRail website.
From Waverley and Haymarket stations, take the buses listed above (From Edinburgh City Centre) to Edinburgh Zoo.
By Car

WARNING OF TRANSPORT CHANGES-
As of 21st February Princes St will be closed to traffic between South Charlotte St and South St Davids St. For up to 8 months diversions will be in place and most buses will be diverted via George St.
