Mansion House
We look forward to welcoming you with excellent service and delicious food in the luxury of the beautiful Mansion House, dating from 1793.

With the opening of the new Bistro restaurant, we are delighted to welcome our new Head Chef: Graham Watson. He has over a decade of experience and has worked in the prestigious New Club, Edinburgh. Graham is very passionate about using local produce, the best possible ingredients and preparing all food fresh that day. Brand-new menus have been created for the Mansion House restaurant and Bar, and once you have sampled the food for yourself we are sure you will afree it is in a whole new class! |
The Bistro
The Bistro is open from noon and located on the first floor of the Mansion House in the Macmillan room. Here you can enjoy stunning views of the city and the Pentlands whilst indulging in a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes. If you have worked up a hearty appitite, our new Bistro Menu is for you.

Starter
Filo haggis parcel served with a red berry and Glayva coulis - £4.95
Main
Pan-fried Perthshire loin of lamb complemented by creamed mash, root vegetables and a red wine jus - £9.50
Desert
Homemade sticky toffee pudding with a heavenly butterscotch sauce and vanilla custard - £4.00

The Bar
Also open from noon, the lounge bar offers tea, coffee, freshly made hot and cold sandwiches, tasty homemade soup and a selection of cakes. Perfect for a quick pit-stop before carrying on your visit to the Zoo.

As spring begins, the lighter evenings draw in and the temperature warms, how about you sit back, relax and enjoy afternoon tea at the Mansion House.
You can view the stunning gardens whilst enjoying freshly baked cakes and filling sandwiches, prepared to perfection.

You are welcome to drop in without a booking, however it is advisable to check that the Mansion House is open, and that there is a table available, so please call us on 0131 314 0336 or email events@rzss.org.uk if you're planning to visit.
