Eating at Edinburgh Zoo
The Zoo has two cafes and several kiosks offering a range of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks - whatever you fancy there’s something to suit all tastes, offering excellent value and service as part of a great day out for the family.
This year Edinburgh Zoo has given its catering facilities a new look.
Oasis, the Zoo’s food court style café, has a wide range of hot and cold meals – with even cheaper prices than 2008! Meals such as fish and chips, burgers, hot dogs, macaroni cheese, baked potatoes, paninis, baguettes, pizzas and children’s meals will help keep hunger (and the credit crunch!) at bay! Food is served on environmentally friendly, recyclable containers along with disposable cutlery. Tea and coffee is available with free top ups; just pay for your drink and come back for a refill free of charge.

The Zoo’s other café, Stripes, offers a wide range of healthy options freshly prepared on the premises. Paninis and bagels, prepared as ordered, home-made soups, baguettes, baked potatoes and salads are available and you can enjoy excellent quality coffees.
The Zoo’s kiosks have also been given a re-vamp! The new Rainbow Terrace kiosk offers waffles and burgers amongst other tasty treats. At the Penguin kiosk hot dogs, ice creams and hot drinks are on offer.
