Visiting Us
Welcome to Edinburgh Zoo, the largest and most exciting wildlife attraction in Scotland, committed to the highest standards of animal welfare, conservation and environmental education.
In just one day, you can meet over 1,000 wonderful animals in our beautiful parkland setting on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We have some wonderful attractions for you to experience, plus you can also enjoy a wide range of visitor facilities and masses of events and daily activities throughout the year.
Koalas off show for enclosure revamp until early summer
Our koala experience is the latest enclosure to be the focus of an exciting new revamp. Whilst this happens our three koalas will be off show, from Monday 8 April until early summer.
The makeover will make the enclosure a more immersive and interactive experience for our visitors and a more interesting enclosure for our koalas. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope our visitors will be delighted with the end result.

Sometimes our animals might seem a bit difficult to spot. They are definitely there though! Take your time, look really hard and you never know, you might just find them looking back at you! Our staff and volunteers are on hand to help all around the Zoo. Remember, some of our animals are active at different times of the day so it's always worthwhile revisiting an enclosure.
