Since 2002, the Zoo has held a civil ceremony licence to hold weddings for up to 80 guests in the Macmillan Lounge, which means you can have your ceremony and reception in the one venue, avoiding those worries and possible delays of transporting your guests to your wedding breakfast.
The Macmillan Lounge is a truly beautiful room, situated on the first floor of the Mansion House. It’s wonderfully light and airy, decorated in shades of Wedgwood blue and grey, with intricate decorative plasterwork and breathtaking open views across the Zoo to the Pentland Hills.
Or for something really different, why not get married somewhere in the Zoo itself, alongside your favourite animal? You could take your vows within our beautifully kept Gardens, or on top of the African Plains with views to Arthur’s seat.
Whatever your requirements, and whatever your favourite animal, we would be happy to consider your request.
