White-faced saki monkey walk-through

sakimonkeymaleJoin our white-faced saki monkeys in their new walk-through enclosure. You can get up close to these fascinating monkeys as they swing through the trees above you.

Edinburgh Zoo is home to a group of four white faced-saki monkeys, three males and a female. Only males have the distinctive ring of white fur around their faces which give these monkeys their name.sakimonkey

If you’re lucky you might see our saki monkeys using their special canine teeth to crack open nuts other monkeys would be unable to eat. You might also hear our monkeys growling and shaking the branches of trees to ward off threats.

The white faced-saki monkey enclosure is located near the front of the Zoo opposite the Stanley’s cranes enclosure.
