Scottish Primate Research Group

Common squirrel monkeyLiving Links supports studies by an internationally-recognised consortium of scientists called the Scottish Primate Research Group (SPRG). This consists of scientists from the Universities of St Andrews, Stirling, Edinburgh and Abertay.

SPRG has built a reputation as the most prominent primate research group in the UK and is one of the leading consortia of this kind in the world. The creation of Living Links recognises the special status of primatology in Scotland.

Global Primate Conservation & Research

Members of SPRG study primate behaviour at many sites in the wilds of Africa, South America and Asia, as well as animals within zoos.

Living Links is also affiliated with Budongo Trail, where SPRG scientists pursue related studies of chimpanzees, and the Living Links Center at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center, Emory University, Atlanta.
