Grasslands
Grasslands are defined by their major foliage type, grass.
They are found on all continents except Antarctica and across a range of climatic types. In general terms a grassland area gets more rainfall than a desert and less than a tropical rainforest.
The grasslands of earth are particularly known for their vast herds of grazing animals and their associated predators, but there are other less well known gems to see too at Edinburgh Zoo.
