Europe
Europe is defined by culture and tradition more than by geography. It is the western part of the landmass called 'Eurasia', combining both Europe and Asia. As such, many of the species found in Europe will also be found in Asia.
We have included animals found on the north coast of Africa as being 'European' too - this is because from an animals point of view, it is easier to move around the Mediterranean Sea than it is to move across the Sahara desert to tropical Africa.
