Africa
Africa is one of the largest continents in the world, with lots of different countries and cultures. Geographically Africa is a continental landmass, separated from Asia and Europe only by the Suez canal. However, from the perspective of the animals of Africa, it makes more sense to consider only the area of Africa south of the Sahara desert as 'Africa', because the Sahara is a much greater barrier to animal migration and movement than the Mediterranean sea. Thus, many of the animals found along the northern Barbary coast of Africa have been listed under Europe as well as Africa.
