John Spence, OBE, DL

John Spence joined Lloyds Bank in 1972 and left in 2005 as Director of Policy and Risk. Senior appointments included Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Scotland, and managing director of retail distribution. He was President of Enable (Scotland’s Mencap) from 1999 until 2010 and chairs both Vitalise and Action for Blind People. He is Deputy Chairman of Business in the Community. Awarded the MBE in 1999, for services to the community, and the OBE in 2006 for services to charity, he is one of HRH Prince of Wales’s Business Ambassadors for Corporate Responsibility and a Deputy Lieutenant for Essex. |

Tessa McGregor – Board Member

Tessa is an award winning, freelance conservationist and environmental journalist with over 20 years experience working on carnivore/prey species conservation and monitoring and human-wildlife conflict in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Arabian Peninsula. Tessa is a recognised expert on big cat conservation having spent years in the field, undertaking research, consultancy and advocacy. |

Douglas Hutchison was co-opted to the Board of RZSS in November 2010. In 1990 he started a communications company incorporating market-leading publications, database marketing and event management for pharmaceutical companies which was successfully sold to a global group in 2000. He is a Partner in Odgers Berndtson. |
Jeremy Peat – Board Member

Formerly a BBC Governor, Jeremy Peat is now a member of the BBC Trust, as National Trustee for Scotland. He is also a member of the Competition Commission, the Director of the Edinburgh-based David Hume Institute, Chair of the BBC Pensions Trust, a board member of the Signet Accreditation Society and a member of the Policy Evaluation Committee of the Economic and Social Research Council. |
