Is the Giant Panda an Endangered Species?
Yes, it is classified as ‘endangered’ by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Will the giant pandas become extinct?
At present, the Chinese Government is taking effective and appropriate conservation measures and investing in research on giant pandas. Improvements are being made continuously and conservationists are hopeful that extinction is not inevitable.
