How you can help

Ediburgh Zoo Advert

The natural world needs our help...and we need yours!  Please consider making a donation to support our conservation, education and research work, both within our parks and across the world.

What Facilities will there be for Public Viewing?

If initial access restrictions are required then these will be kept to a minimum. We wish to continue to encourage visitors to the reserve and aim to provide an opportunity to see beavers in the wild while at the same time, giving the animals the opportunity to settle in with little disturbance. We will discuss any restrictions closely with our reserve management partners, Forestry Commission Scotland.

Subject to the occupation of suitable locations and measures to prevent disturbance, we plan to introduce public viewing facilities, plus interpretation facilities. In the fullness of time we could consider the use of webcams. Beaver-watching contributes to local economies in several European countries. Beavers used to people can be quite relaxed, and will often pay scant attention to people more than 15m away.
